The Rev Bev
It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing of my friend Bev John.
Bev was a member of 66A D Coy. We didn’t cross paths much at Arborfield, Different Div’s and companies. Later, I was working in Merthyr Tydfil and Bev’s parish was close by so we met up for a chat and our friendship developed. He was the canon for the Cathedral in Brecon so we used to meet up now and again socially.
Bev was one of the nicest men I have ever met. We always had a laugh and joke about all manner of things and I am honoured to have had him as a friend.
Sher, Bev’s wife, is obviously in a dark place now but at least he is not suffering any more.

Like Bev I was in D coy and we remained friends till now, a kinder guy you will never meet and a talented musician who played in the sixties College Band, rock that is.
