Chairmans Christmas Message

Sent on behalf of Mike Tizard.

Dear Old Boys.

I hope this message finds you fit and well and looking forward to Christmas.

I really thought we’d seen the back of this virus lark, and then up pops a new varient.  While it’s severity is not known, I urge you all to keep safe and follow the Government guidelines. I’ve had the lot, two jabs, flue jab and the booster and I feel I must be positively oozing antibodies. Nevertheless, I’m still toeing the line and following the rules; it must be the Old Boy in me.

This past year will be remembered for lockdowns and restrictions, and for some of us it will have been very challenging. Let’s look forward to a return to normality in 2022.  From an AOBA perspective, I’ve already been in touch with Geoff at Isle of Wight Tours who will be organising our reunion next year. It’s set to be a cracker with the 50th anniversary for the 70, 71 and 72 intakes being celebrated. Put the date in your 2022 calendar, it’s the weekend of the 8, 9 and 10th of July, and look out for the booking forms on the website, in the OBAN and for those who have attended in the past, you might even get a direct email from the organiser’s. It’s set to be a great reunion and I’m very much looking forward to it.

On behalf of the AOBA Committee, I’d like wish you all a very sincere ‘Merry Christmas’.  What ever you are doing, have a great time over the festive period and I look forward to seeing you in the New Year.

Stay safe

Mike Tizard, your Chairman.
